North Ayrshire Cultural Diversity Project for Primary Schools:
April – May 2008 

SAAA has been commissioned by North Ayrshire Council to lead a large scale cultural diversity performing and visual arts project in primary schools in North Ayrshire. The project includes 6 week blocks of Bharata Natyam dance, Djembe drumming, Storytelling, Capoeira and New Media workshops

SAAA Summer School: Visual Art and Dance: July & Aug 2008
As in previous years, SAAA will run a series of dance and visual art workshops for people of all ages during the summer holiday break. It is hoped these will include Capoeira Classes with Fiaz and Anastasia Tariq from Glasgow Capoeira. SAAA has been working with them on a number of outreach projects throughout 2007/2008 and a good working partnership has been developed.

Participatory Film Making @ MELA 2008
Following the success of the GMAC film making workshop at the MELA 2007, which resulted in a documentary of the day’s events, partnership plans have been made between SAAA and GMAC to document Mela 2008 through community film and video workshops with SAAA visual artist Bash Khan and GMAC staff.

Glasgow Showcase Event - December 2008 Date TBC
Once again the annual showcase will be held in partnership with Asian arts organisations Danceihayami, & IMDCOLL. The Showcase will profile performances from the participating organistion’s resident artists including Ceol-Taal, Karen Watts and Prakriti Dutta and the SAAA students. The best of Indian music and dance in Scotland. 
Bengali Performing Arts partnership Event: November 2008
Last year SAAA collaborated with Bengali Performing Arts to bring Ajoy Chakraborty to Scotland to perform.Discussions are currently being held by SAAA and Bengali Performing Arts to bring a high profile Visiting Artist to Glasgow to perform and hold workshops and classed during their stay.
